Job summary

Dallastown Area School District is seeking a Part-Time, 10-Month Classroom Paraprofessional at Leader Heights Elementary School. The role supports teachers in delivering services to students and helps create pathways for student success.

The Dallastown Area School District is seeking to fill a Part-Time, 10-Month Classroom Paraprofessional positions at Leader Heights Elementary School. The ideal candidate will play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting classroom teachers in the delivery of supports and services to students.

• Work hours will be 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.

Work Schedule / Pay Periods for 10-Month Position:

• Work hours work will be as indicated above which will be 5.50 working hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
• Your work schedule will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor.
• While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you will enjoy summer off to spend more time with your family
• For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late June.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Regular Education:Library and Classroom Paraprofessionals -High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
• Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others
• Acceptable record of attendance
