Job summary

Plainville Community Schools is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 1:1 assignment at Plainville High School. This role is 15 hours per week, providing dedicated nursing support to a student with complex medical needs, three days a week for five hours per day, on site at Plainville High School.

The LPN will handle first aid, crisis response, medication administration, and mobility tasks, including use of a hoyer lift, under the direction of SPED staff.

Qualifications

• First aid knowledge for school emergencies.
• Knowledge of crisis response in school settings.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Familiarity with state health regulations for students.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 nursing services for a medically complex student (3 days/week, 5 hours/day).
• Assist with lifting and mobility, including use of a hoyer lift.
• Duties may include hygiene support and mobility management.
• Support academic/functional tasks and use of assistive technology under SPED staff.
