Job summary

Springfield Public Schools in Springfield, MA seeks a One-to-one Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to an assigned student in alignment with the IEP and medical plan. You will work closely with the school nurse, teacher, and principal to support safe participation in learning activities.

The role requires 1–2 years in child health or related clinical nursing, a MA LPN license, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of child health or relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Valid and current LPN License by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (renewable bi-annually).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned student in accordance with IEP and medical plan.
• Administer prescribed medications with parent/guardian and physician consent.
• Collaborate with the school nurse, classroom teacher, and principal.
• Perform personal care and activities of daily living as needed.
• Report health concerns to appropriate staff and follow infection control practices.
