Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated One-to-one Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care for an assigned student under the student’s IEP and medical plan. You will collaborate with the school nurse, teachers, and administrators to support health and education.

Responsibilities include administering medications with consent, performing nursing procedures, monitoring health, and helping the student participate in classroom activities safely.

Qualifications

• One to two years of child health or community health nursing experience.
• Valid Massachusetts LPN license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for student safety and direct nursing care.
• Assess and document student medical history and needs.
• Initiate a care plan with student and family input.
• Provide nursing services and administer medications with consent.
• Collaborate with school nurse, teachers and Principal.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and comply with policies.
