Correctional Services - Agency 46 in Omaha, NE is hiring a Specialized Parole Officer to supervise parolees and assist in their reintegration into the community. You will conduct risk assessments, home visits, and develop case plans while coordinating with law enforcement and service providers.

Daily travel around Omaha and its surroundings is expected, with an additional $3/hour facility differential. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in corrections, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, social work, counseling, public administration or a related field.
• Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a caseload of parolees and adult sex offenders, including risk assessments, home visits, and case plans.
• Coordinate counseling, cognitive-behavioral classes, and community reintegration.
• Enforce supervision conditions via investigations, drug tests, and potential arrests.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, mental health professionals, and treatment providers.
• Maintain case documentation and provide testimony in court or Parole Board hearings.
• Travel within Omaha and surrounding communities as caseload dictates.
