Job summary

State-of-Nebraska’s Supreme Court - Agency 5 seeks a Specialized Populations Officer to supervise high-risk offenders within the Problem-Solving Court program. You will perform case management, counseling and treatment coordination to support probationers and post-release individuals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social services or related field with at least two years of case management experience and strong collaboration with treatment providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, Criminal Justice or directly related field, and 2 years of case management experience.
• Educational credits must be from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, monitors and supervises high-risk individuals in probation or post-release supervision.
• Provides counseling, case management and case reporting.
• Develops team supervision with referral sources and treatment providers.
• Participates in treatment and relapse prevention planning with clients.
• Leads groups and conducts cognitive programs and life skills training.
• Prepares reports and updates client information in databases.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
