The Colorado Department of Corrections, Division of Adult Parole, is seeking a dynamic leader to direct the Division of Adult Parole. The Director will champion a balanced approach to public safety while promoting rehabilitation and successful reintegration for parolees.

This executive role requires statewide oversight of parole and community re-entry programs, strategic planning, and collaboration with state agencies.

Qualifications

• Operational knowledge of leading a parole, community corrections, or corrections system.
• Experience in public sector budget and government financial management.
• Experience managing staff with diverse professional backgrounds.
• Experience in policy analysis, development and implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a complex political environment.
• Negotiation and consensus-building skills.
• Experience testifying as an expert on parole trends and issues.
• Knowledge of interstate compact program.

Responsabilités

• Manage statewide parole and community re-entry programs.
• Direct and coordinate division budget activities to improve efficiency.
• Analyze operations to identify performance improvements.
• Develop policies and programs for quality and efficiency.
• Lead HR activities including talent selection and disputes.
• Guide strategic planning for the Division of Adult Parole.
• Testify before legislative committees on parole trends.
• Ensure performance measures are met and reporting is accurate.
• Collaborate with inter-agency partners and stakeholders.
• Travel statewide and occasionally out of state.
