Job summary

The City of Wentzville is seeking a Parks Business and Volunteer Specialist at Wentzville City Hall in Missouri. This full-time position leads a department-wide volunteer program, aligns assignments with priorities, and oversees financial and board administrative tasks.

You will drive volunteer engagement, manage records, and support safety, training, and departmental goals while benefiting from a comprehensive employee package and pension plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Business Management, or a closely related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
• First-Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire date; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Program Management: Design, evaluate, and improve a comprehensive volunteer program with recruitment, onboarding, engagement, recognition, and retention.
• Placement & Operations: Align volunteer assignments with priorities, operations, risk, and qualifications.
• Analytics: Track volunteer participation, retention, and outcomes for future decisions.
• Board Support: Prepare agendas, record minutes, and maintain board records.
• Records & Data: Manage records retention, indexing, scanning, data entry, and reports.
• Financial Operations: Process purchases, receipts, invoices, deposits, and daily financial reports.

Education
