The Parks Steward helps ensure Skookum Park and local parks remain safe and enjoyable. This position will do routine site monitoring, park condition assessments, and communication with park users regarding rules, reservations, and responsible park use. They will also work with other departments to coordinate maintenance needs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, OR an Associates Degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with minimal standardization. Ability to interpret a range of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Valid Washington State Drivers License.
