Job summary

The Squaxin-Island-Tribe is seeking a Parks Steward to help maintain Skookum Park and local parks in Shelton, WA. The role performs routine site monitoring, park condition assessments, and communicates park rules, reservations, and responsible use to visitors.

As an active part of the Tu Ha' Buts Youth Center (TYC) team, you will support youth activities, foster positive relationships with youth, and help maintain safe, respectful park environments while coordinating with other departments for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a HS diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with park users and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor park sites and communicate park rules to visitors.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with other departments and report safety concerns.
• Support park-based youth programming with TY C staff and partners.
• Ensure safe, respectful use of park facilities and event spaces.
