Job summary

The City Of Mccomb is seeking a part-time Park Maintenance Worker to support the Recreation Department in Brookhaven. You will assist in supervising seasonal programs, maintain athletic fields and park facilities, and help manage inventory and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating heavy and lawn equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to construction and landscaping projects across city parks. This role reports to the Recreation Director.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a community college or two years of college with related major.
• Or graduation from high school with two years' experience in athletic field prep or general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising summer playgrounds and seasonal leagues.
• Assist in material receipt, inspection, and issuance of supplies.
• Maintain inventory records and prepare reports.
• Operate and maintain department equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain and prepare athletic, park and playground areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Dig trenches, load materials, and operate power tools as required.
• Oversee part-time staff for park maintenance activities.
