Job summary

Jackson County Missouri seeks a Parks + Rec Maintenance Associate to manage maintenance equipment and ensure infrastructure improvements. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and be capable of heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Must complete Division-specific training within six months of hiring date.
• Must obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license within six months of hire.
• Capable of heavy lifting, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate various maintenance equipment such as handheld tools.
• Perform asset and infrastructure improvements as necessary.
• Participate in ice and snow control operations.
• Cut brush and trees from county infrastructure.
