Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a part-time Parks Maintenance Assistant to perform general maintenance across our parks, trails, and open spaces. The role may involve leading part-time crews and working varied hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

The position offers medical benefits eligibility and opportunities to contribute to high-quality recreational spaces for communities. You will work with a diverse team to maintain safe and beautiful parklands.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year skilled labor experience with park, horticulture, landscape, forestry including operating commercial landscape equipment.
• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties at assigned District parks, trails, open space, and other grounds.
• May lead part-time/seasonal crew activities as needed.
