The role requires coordinating with project sponsors, local governments, and agency staff, and traveling as needed to oversee awards and inspections. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in recreation-related fields is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or related fields.
• Five years in recreation facility development, grants administration and experience in comprehensive community planning for public recreation.

Responsibilities

• Administers the PARD and Undiscovered SC grant programs and ensures compliance with guidelines.
• Manages daily operations of the PARD grant program and expedites obligation and expenditure of funds.
• Develops and maintains relationships with local governments and organizations using PARD.
• Coordinates final inspections and follow-up for PARD and Undiscovered grants.
• Oversees the Undiscovered SC program grant application process and awards timeline.
• Ensures program compliance with state and agency regulations; maintains documentation.
• Contributes as a team member in LWCF and RTP administration.
• Promotes teamwork and adheres to agency standards in all duties.
