Job summary

City of Northglenn is seeking a Parks Project Coordinator to manage multifaceted capital improvement and purchase projects within Parks and Recreation. The role spans planning, design review, bidding, construction oversight, and funding including grant writing and reporting.

The position involves collaboration with City departments, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure projects meet goals and standards. An exempt, non-overtime role with an annual salary range is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field and 2–5 years of administrative experience with design/PM skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with AutoCAD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plans and specifications for park and recreation projects, including buildings, irrigation, landscaping, trails, playgrounds and facilities.
• Prepares cost estimates for capital projects and bid materials; defines scope and coordinates RFQ/RFP/IFB processes.
• Reviews plans for quality, compliance with codes, and coordinates with consultants to resolve problems.
• Coordinates construction permits and clearance; provides construction supervision to ensure conformance to plans.
• Assists with master planning, community engagement, grant applications, and reporting.
