Job summary

The City of Northglenn is seeking a Parks Project Manager to oversee planning, design review, development and implementation of parks and recreation capital projects. You will manage multifaceted programs from long-term planning through bid and construction, coordinating with city departments, grant programs, community groups and external partners to ensure goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Park Resources Management, Park and Recreation Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional administrative experience with proven design implementation and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with AutoCAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plans and specifications for proposed park and recreation projects, including buildings, irrigation, landscaping, trails, playgrounds, sports facilities and other municipal facilities.
• Prepares cost estimates for parks and recreation capital improvement projects.
• Prepares pre-bid materials defining scope of work and related information necessary for RFQ/RFP/IFB; manages selection process and reviews bids.
• Coordinates permits and clearance for construction; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides construction supervision to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
