Job summary

The City of Northglenn is seeking a Parks Project Manager to oversee planning, design review, development, and implementation of parks and recreation capital improvement projects.

You will manage every phase from long-term planning and design through bid, construction documents, contract administration, and funding, including grant writing and reporting. This exempt position requires a related bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of project management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional administrative experience with design implementation and project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plans and specifications for proposed park and recreation projects, including buildings, irrigation, landscaping, trails, playgrounds, sports facilities and other municipal facilities.
• Prepares cost estimates for parks and recreation capital improvement projects.
• Prepares pre-bid materials defining scope of work and related information for RFQ/RFP/IFB and manages the selection process.
• Examines and approves detailed plans and specifications prepared by outside consultants and assists in resolving problems.
• Coordinates obtaining necessary permits and clearance for construction.
• Provides construction supervision to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Assists with master planning and community engagement for park projects.
