Job summary

The City of Corona is seeking an experienced Park Ranger Supervisor to lead a team protecting and enhancing the City's parks, open spaces, and recreational facilities. This role blends leadership, field operations, public service, and community engagement to keep parks safe, clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for residents and visitors.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, coordinate daily operations, respond to challenging situations, and build positive relationships with the community

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in recreation, public or business administration, or closely related field.
• Four years of administrative parks/recreation/trails experience with budget/program development, including one year supervisory experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or to be obtained within three months.
• California Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, assign, and evaluate work of staff.
• Administer and manage programs and projects.
• Recommend programs based on community needs and City priorities.
• Exercise sound judgment and respond to community concerns.
• Build cooperative relationships with in-city staff and external partners.
• Prepare clear reports and documents.
