Job summary

The City of Fresno's PARCS department is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of parks, community centers, and programs, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, and accessible while fostering community partnerships.

You will oversee six operational zones, collaborate with PARCS Program Managers, and drive resource planning, staff supervision, and program delivery to enhance resident recreation and services.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience in parks, public works or a public agency parks/recreation program, with two years in supervisory roles.
• Bachelor's degree in recreation, education, public administration, or closely related field; transcripts required.
• Valid California Driver's License and current driving record.

• Manage a complex operating budget within financial limits.
• Collaborate with teams to produce performance reports and track progress toward goals.
• Oversee direct service delivery: train staff and ensure safety and compliance.
