Job summary

The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (APR) is seeking a Temporary - Project Coordinator to support the Land Use and Acquisition Division in coordinating city projects affecting parkland and acquisition efforts.

You will assist in developing plans, monitoring budgets, coordinating contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic public sector team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field plus 3 years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work.
• Experience with project budgeting and contracts and related regulations.
• Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and codes applicable to project assignments.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and venues.
• Experience with geospatial applications and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development and monitoring of project budgets and pay applications.
• Coordinates development/reviews of contracts and Developer Agreements.
• Develops, maintains, and improves design and construction standards.
• Provides technical advice and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates schedules, plans, and various project activities.
