Job summary

The City of Austin seeks a Project Manager to lead park development capital projects from concept to construction and warranty. You will coordinate design teams, staff, and consultants to meet sustainability and resilience goals while delivering a quality public-facing product.

Responsibilities include engaging stakeholders, preparing executive materials, and ensuring projects meet schedules and budgets in a dynamic city environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing capital improvement projects from pre-planning to post-occupancy.
• Knowledge of SITES, LEED, and sustainable design principles.
• Ability to communicate with City leadership and in public meetings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate delivery of landscape and site capital improvement projects.
• Lead community engagement from concept through construction and warranty.
• Coordinate staff and consultants; monitor budgets and schedules.
• Prepare reports and presentations for City Manager, management team, and Council.
