The City of Little Rock seeks a seasoned professional to oversee the Design and Operations and Improvement Development Divisions within the Parks and Recreation Department. You will guide park improvement projects from planning through construction, ensuring alignment with master plans and feasibility standards.
Applicants should hold a relevant bachelor's degree and bring multiple years of construction or design experience, including supervisory roles.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To oversee and manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the Design and Operations and Improvement Development Divisions of the Department of the Parks and Recreation, to include the construction, operation and development of park improvement projects to ensure the development is in compliance with the park master plans and the design and construction of the parks and facilities are environmentally, aesthetically and economically feasible within the City of Little Rock.
This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Landscape Design, or a related field; four (4) years of experience in General Construction, Engineering Design, Architecture Design, or Parks Design to include two (2) years of demonstrated project/construction management experience, or a related area, and two (2) years of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
