Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a Parks Operator II to maintain county park grounds and operate equipment. The role includes mowing, weed control, sign and equipment maintenance, and vehicle operations for events.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, cuts and sprays weeds on county property.
• Repairs and replaces park signs and park equipment.
• Performs minor repairs to park vehicles.
• Operates heavy equipment as needed.
• Drives bus to and from special events to transport participants.
• Repairs and replaces park fencing and performs concrete work.
• Held financially responsible for equipment used and uniforms issued.
• Participates in emergency management duties during a local disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
