This temporary, full-time SDA position requires strong leadership, budgeting input, and the ability to manage complex schedules while upholding equity and service values for the community.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in Parks Maintenance Operations leading diverse staff.
• Proven leadership supervising crews and guiding safety and performance.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate work with staff and partners.
• Clear written and verbal communication; engage staff and the public.
• Hands-on knowledge of preventive maintenance for parks facilities and natural lands.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Lucity asset management.
• Experience with resource planning and budgeting for park projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a high‑performing team by supervising daily work.
• Build relationships across the Parks Division and provide after‑hours support.
• Oversee performance evaluations, documentation, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with hiring, respond to inquiries, and support budgeting and purchasing.
• Ensure safety by supervising adherence to OSHA/WISHA and environmental standards.
• Assist with budget preparation and authorize purchases and code invoices.
• Identify training needs and coordinate projects through regular meetings.
