Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a related role.
• Knowledge of natural resources conservation principles and practices.
• Knowledge of building, park, and equipment maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, directing, coordinating and evaluating services and staff across park management, outdoor recreation, law enforcement, natural resource management, environmental education, administration and budgeting.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned staff; handle personnel actions and policies.
• Participate in strategic/operational planning, budgeting, reporting and efficiency improvements.
• Provide leadership over projects, long-range and capital budgets, and meeting materials.
• Promote teamwork and morale; maintain a supportive work environment.
• Develop operations plans for county park systems and monitor progress.
• Oversee organizational planning and scheduling for Conservation department activities.
• Prepare grant proposals and manage grant-funded projects and reimbursements.
• Lead trails and natural resources programs; plan events and workdays.
