Douglas County Government is seeking an entry-level Park Maintenance worker responsible for maintaining parks and facilities. The role includes inspecting grounds, operating equipment, and performing repairs. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and some experience in maintenance work. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package.
This is entry-level technical work responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and construction of County parks, parks facilities, trails, and open space within the Parks, Trails & Building Grounds. This position is part of the career path in the Park Maintenance field.

Generally, a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, technical manuals, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively relay information in one-on-one and small group situations. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Knowledge of safety factors. Skill in the use of maintenance tools and equipment. Ability to operate pickup trucks, mowers, and tractors.
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with appropriate insurance. Review of motor vehicle record required at hire and periodically during employment.
