Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX, is seeking a Parks Worker I to perform manual and semi-skilled tasks in city parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities. You will support daily operations, keep areas safe and attractive for public use, and handle litter collection and grounds maintenance.

Flexibility in duties includes mowing, planting and basic facility upkeep with adherence to safety policies. A valid Texas driver's license is required; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including lifting and carrying materials, kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Previous park maintenance/landscaping experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect litter and debris from parks, playgrounds, trails and public areas.
• Mow grass and maintain landscaped areas using equipment.
• Construct and maintain park facilities, including walkways, benches and shelters.
• Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of tools and vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures while operating equipment.
