Job summary

The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking a Maintenance Worker III or IV – Parks for a full-time role with the Public Works Department, about 40 hours per week, 7:00am–6:00pm Monday–Thursday. You will maintain city parks, streetscapes, and facilities, and serve as a primary on-call responder for after-hour emergencies and snow plowing.

The position leads Seasonal Maintenance Workers, oversees turf, irrigation, and plant care, and requires high school diploma, 4 years of parks experience, and CDL

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of parks maintenance, landscaping, or related experience desired.
• CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months; CPSI/CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform turf management, mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, overseeding, and sod replacement for City parks.
• Inspect and maintain parks, playgrounds, and facilities; repair and maintain equipment and irrigation systems.
• Lead Seasonal Maintenance Workers – Parks and supervise tasks on a project basis.
