Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Parks Worker II to lead daily park maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep. You will supervise crew members, train staff, and ensure safety policies are followed while performing hands-on landscaping and construction tasks.

Responsibilities include mowing, planting, pruning, irrigation work, litter removal, and assisting with or leading projects like walkways and playgrounds. A valid Texas driver's license is required; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• CDL Class B preferred; herbicide licensing may be required.
• Experience leading or supervising work crews preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily park maintenance activities and oversee staff.
• Perform litter removal and groundskeeping; operate mowing equipment.
• Construct and maintain flower beds, irrigation components, and walkways.
• Train new workers and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles; report safety concerns.
