Job summary

The role requires operating equipment, inspecting playgrounds, coordinating repairs, maintaining records, and ensuring safety compliance; three years of journey-level experience with relevant certifications is preferred. Shift may include evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with environmental horticulture, parks & landscape maintenance training.
• Three years of journey-level parks and landscape maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional supervision to staff performing maintenance, repair, and installation work.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks; communicate status of repairs to supervisor.
• Train employees in work methods, tools, and safety precautions.
• Operate park maintenance equipment and drive City vehicles as needed.
• Perform horticulture, arboriculture, weed control, groundskeeping, and athletic field maintenance.
