Job summary

Hamilton County Parks & Recreation seeks a dedicated maintenance worker to support cleaning, landscaping and facility upkeep across county parks, grounds, campsites and ballparks. The role operates mowers and other equipment, maintains plantings, and keeps restrooms and facilities in good condition.

Fridays through Mondays, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with experience in recreation or landscaping preferred.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of a high school diploma and a valid driver's license with at least two years of direct work experience in a recreation department, landscaping, construction or a related field.
• Or one year of work experience with Hamilton County Parks & Recreation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, tree trimmers, edgers, etc., safely loading and unloading materials.
• Mows grass, weeds plant beds, prunes trees, trims and edges landscaping, and cleans restrooms and facilities.
• Performs maintenance and repairs of recreation facilities and grounds; follows safety procedures.
• Performs a range of general labor, cleaning, and upkeep duties around parks and recreation sites.
