Job summary

Hamilton County Mayor's Office seeks a motivated team member to perform cyclical trail maintenance, landscaping, and related construction within County Park trails and open spaces. Work is conducted under close supervision and outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities include building and repairing trails, operating heavy equipment and tools, and leading volunteer trail engagements, with support to the Trail Manager for equipment organization. Safety and regulations apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Two years of direct work experience in recreation, landscaping, construction, trail maintenance, or related field.
• One year with Hamilton County Parks & Recreation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain trails and related facilities; heavy lifting and use of power equipment.
• Maintain workplace safety; perform routine maintenance and operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Lead or co-lead volunteer trail engagements.
• Assist Trail Manager with organization and upkeep of tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
