Job summary

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department is seeking a Groundsworker to help maintain parks and gardens, and support operations at Pullen Park and the Raleigh Rose Garden. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; less than 1 year experience in groundskeeping or related work, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• General grounds maintenance duties including mowing, planting, weeding, raking and pruning; operates a leaf blower and cleans up debris.
• Pick up trash and remove large debris including storm debris and park furnishings.
• Places and spreads soil, mulch, and compost throughout city grounds.
• Assists crews with planting, bed weeding, tree pruning, seeding, watering and weed control prep.
