Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking a dependable and highly motivated individual to join our Right of Way team. This hands-on position maintains green spaces, performs mowing and tree work, and operates equipment to keep city properties safe and welcoming.

Normal shift is Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year experience, and a valid Class B CDL with air brakes or ability to obtain; CDIP must be obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED certificate.
• One year of applicable experience in grounds maintenance or related roles.
• Must have a Class B CDL with air brakes valid in Missouri or obtain within 120 days.
• CDL instruction permit (CDIP) must be obtained within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree care including planting, watering, pruning, and removals.
• Maintain landscaping features such as shrubs, perennials, flower displays, mulching, and weed control.
• Complete grounds maintenance including mowing, planting, pruning, trimming, and irrigation system upkeep.
• Operate and perform minor maintenance on light/heavy equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and general building/facility upkeep.
