Job summary

The City of Coolidge is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to repair and maintain city parks, turf areas, and related facilities. The role requires two years of park maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and training, plus a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Two (2) years park maintenance/landscape experience or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains City parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and related facilities.
• Performs turf maintenance, irrigation, landscape, and park equipment repair.
• Monitors and inspects park facilities and grounds.
• Maintains and ensures proper operation of park equipment.
• Performs graffiti cleanup and removal of trash and debris from park grounds.
• Operates maintenance and landscape equipment and vehicles.
• Ensures compliance with departmental policies and safety regulations.
• Designs athletic fields and sprinkler systems as required.
• Assists with setting up fences and recreation equipment.
