Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance worker to tidy and maintain parks, buildings, and grounds. You will operate mowing equipment, vehicles, and cleaning tools, and help with setup for events and daily upkeep.

Essential duties include performing safety inspections, completing daily worksheets, and reporting conditions to supervisors. A valid Florida driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required, with prior heavy manual labor experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in heavy manual labor.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, grounds, and parks; cleaning and upkeep.
• Operate vehicles, mowers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Make daily written or oral reports.
• Set up chairs and tables for activities; assist in cleanup.
• Perform litter control and turf installation as needed.
