Qualifications

• Requires four years of progressively responsible work experience in the maintenance field.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors teams of 3-5 permanent employees.
• Monitors landscape contractor to ensure compliance and communicates with contractor staff.
• Manages temporary staff including probationers, seasonal, part-time, or volunteers to maintain parks and medians.
• Analyzes and resolves staff equipment operating problems; recommends changes to increase efficiency.
• Delegates tasks to balance workload and resources; conducts inspections of parks and documents work orders.
• Maintains records on labor, materials and equipment; tracks performance and training needs.
