Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or a GED.
• One year of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of an irrigation system are required.
• A valid Texas driver's license and a State of Texas Landscape Irrigators License are required.
• Preference will be given to eligible veteran applicants.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train and schedule staff installing and repairing irrigation pipes, valves, and controllers.
• Participate in irrigation system installations.
• Estimate and requisition materials and equipment; record project costs.
• Operate drills and tapping machines for piping connections.
• Interpret irrigation blueprints and plans.
• Operate pressure test equipment to ensure no leaks.
• Secure permits for water-supply connections.
• Establish inventory control for parts and lead times.
• Perform other duties as required.
