Job summary

The City of Douglasville is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee maintenance of parks, recreation buildings, pools, and related facilities. The role emphasizes capital improvements, safety compliance, and collaboration with city departments, contractors, and staff.

Responsibilities include leading preventive maintenance, managing budgets, and ensuring water quality and health code adherence for aquatic facilities, in alignment with the Parks Master Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in parks/gov administration or related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in parks, facilities, or aquatic maintenance with supervisory duties.
• Experience overseeing large-scale capital projects, renovations, and facility improvements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, inspection, and repair of parks, buildings, pools, fields, and playgrounds to ensure long-term asset readiness.
• Manage aquatic facilities including water quality, inspections, equipment, and health-code compliance per CPO standards.
• Plan and monitor renovations and upgrades per the Parks Master Plan and capital project budgets.
• Coordinate project timelines, budgets, contractor performance, and city approvals to ensure on-time completion.
