Job summary

City of Ann Arbor seeks an energetic team member to support Natural Area Preservation events and community programs. You will assist with planning, logistics, setup, and on-site coordination to ensure positive attendee experiences.

Responsibilities include customer service, equipment handling, safety enforcement, and post-event feedback. Requires 18+, HS diploma/GED, and a valid driver's license; CPR/First Aid within 30 days is provided by the city.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality suitable for diverse community.
  • Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment (city offers courses).
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Recreation Supervisor in coordinating events and program logistics including scheduling, site setup, and day of implementation.
  • Collaborate with team to refine event processes and enhance community experiences.
  • Provide excellent customer service to attendees, addressing needs and resolving issues.
  • Assist in loading, transportation, setup, take down and proper storage of event equipment.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather community feedback.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing safety regulations.
