Job summary

Pierce County Parks is accepting applications for a temporary (extra-hire) Room Monitor position at our Chambers Creek Regional Park in Washington. The role is part-time (16 hours per week), with evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

You will set up and tear down events, supervise groups, and serve as the primary contact for renters, ensuring a safe, well-organized event space. Responsibilities include customer service, enforcing facility policies, adjusting layouts, and completing post-event

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for groups renting/using the facility.
• Wipe down surfaces and take out trash using household-type cleaning products.
• Make sure the facility is safe for all in attendance.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Work within and enforce the policies and procedures of the facility.
• Adjust event layout, including moving furniture.
