Job summary

Mecklenburg County is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Assistant to join our Park & Recreation Team. The incumbent will oversee facility rentals, provide customer service, assist with event setup and breakdown, and support programming for all ages throughout the year.

This position is based at Naomi Drenan Recreation Center, up to 19 hours per week, with afterschool program coverage starting at 3:00pm and possible evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NC or SC Driver’s License and County Driving Privileges; CPR/First Aid.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and handle inquiries in a recreation center.
• Assist with facility rentals and registration processes.
• Set up and breakdown of events and programs.
• Support light maintenance tasks and safety procedures.
