Job summary

The City of Cedar Hill seeks an experienced Parks Project Manager to plan, develop, and manage capital improvement projects for parks, trails, open spaces, and municipal facilities. You will oversee projects from concept through construction, manage budgets, schedules, and grants, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership and boards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Landscape Architecture, Parks & Recreation Administration, or related field.
CAPM certification required or preferred.
State of Texas Registered Landscape Architect preferred; PMP preferred.
Valid Texas driver’s license per city requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and manage parks, trails, open spaces, streetscapes, and municipal facilities CIP projects.
Oversee projects from concept through construction, closeout, and warranty periods within budget and schedule.
Coordinate consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors; manage funding and grants.
Engage with internal departments, stakeholders, and external agencies for successful delivery.
Provide public engagement support and strategic recommendations to leadership and boards.
