The Town of Prosper seeks a qualified individual for the Parks Business & Operations Coordinator role. Hiring salary range is $54,476.74 - $62,648.25, with TMRS retirement benefits and a 2-to-1 match on medical, dental, and vision coverages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of admin, operational and customer service experience.
• Experience in park operations, recreation, public administration, budgeting, or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, Public Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Two years in Park Operations, Recreation, Public Administration with Budget exposure.
• Must pass MVR check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
• Texas Irrigator License and/or Certified Arborist credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Parks and Recreation department’s business operations, maintenance activities, and service delivery through budget administration, research, data analysis, and customer service initiatives.
• Coordinates review and tracking of operational requests, monitors active work assignments, and maintains effective communication using work management software and other communication resources.
• Provides administrative and operational support for internal and external coordination and service delivery.
• Oversees the general proactive maintenance plan for public facilities and Town-maintained medians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative, operational, and customer service support for multiple work units, including experience using business or work management software.
• Experience in park operations, recreation, public administration, budgeting, or a closely related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, Public Administration, or related field, preferred.
• One (2) year administrative experience, preferred.
• Two (2) years in Park Operations, Recreation, Public Administration, with Budget exposure.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
• State of Texas Irrigator License and/or Certified Arborist credential preferred.
