Job summary

Town of Prosper, Texas is seeking a Parks Business & Operations Coordinator to support budget administration, data analysis, and customer service initiatives within Parks and Recreation.

The role coordinates operational requests, monitors work assignments, and ensure communication using work management software while overseeing maintenance plans for public facilities and medians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of admin/operational and customer service experience.
  • Experience in park operations or budgeting.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One year administrative experience preferred.
  • Two years in park operations/public administration with budget exposure.
  • Must pass MVR check.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
  • Irrigator license and/or Certified Arborist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Parks and Recreation business operations, maintenance, and service delivery.
  • Coordinate review and tracking of operational requests.
  • Monitor active work assignments and communicate via work management software.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for internal and external coordination.
  • Oversee the maintenance plan for public facilities and medians.

Hiring Salary Range: $54,476.74 - $62,648.25

Qualifications
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative, operational, and customer service support for multiple work units, including experience using business or work management software.
  • Experience in park operations, recreation, public administration, budgeting, or a closely related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, Public Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • One (2) year administrative experience, preferred.
  • Two (2) years in Park Operations, Recreation, Public Administration, with Budget exposure.
  • Must pass MVR check.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
  • State of Texas Irrigator License and/or Certified Arborist credential preferred.

The Parks Business and Operations Coordinator supports the Parks and Recreation department’s business operations, maintenance activities, and service delivery through budget administration, research, data analysis, and customer service initiatives. Coordinates the review and tracking of operational requests, monitors active work assignments, and maintains effective communication using work management software and other communication resources. Provides administrative and operational support for internal and external, departmental coordination and service delivery. Oversee the general proactive maintenance plan for public facilities and Town-maintained medians.
