Job summary

The University of Kentucky Transportation Services team seeks a dependable Electronic Technician I to support daily operation, maintenance, and administration of parking and revenue-control systems.

The role emphasizes customer service, meticulous record-keeping, and hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software for access, payment, and revenue-control systems. 40-hour weeks with day shift; AA required; no experience necessary.

Qualifications

  • AA degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience with parking systems is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze LPR and parking data to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Review parking applications and information across systems to investigate discrepancies.
  • Enter, update, verify, and maintain records in internal and external systems.
  • Test new parking technologies and equipment and support best practices for implementation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and first-level troubleshooting on parking access and revenue-control equipment.
  • Monitor systems remotely and respond to alerts and operational issues.
