Job summary

Grand Valley State University is seeking a part-time, temporary Parking Operations Assistant to support the Parking Operations and Systems Technician Team. The role involves answering parking lot phone calls, troubleshooting entry and exit issues, monitoring equipment, and assisting with events and student staff supervision.

Weekend and evening shifts are required. You will process requests, maintain supplies, and help with event validation codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional assistance when answering parking lot phone calls.
• Escalate complex equipment, access, or customer service issues to the appropriate staff member.
• Monitor parking lot security cameras for gate and equipment damage.
• Check and maintain parking equipment with paper and other supplies to maintain daily operations.
• Process daily and overnight visitor parking requests.
• Assist with processing event requests and preparing validation codes as needed.
• Assist with event parking as needed.
• Working nights and weekends is required (Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m.- 12 a.m.).
• Driver's license will probably be required for truck use if need be.
