Job summary

Grand Valley State University on the Allendale campus is seeking a full-time Facilities Services maintenance worker for the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm). You will assist trades, perform general building maintenance, and support campus operations while providing quality service to faculty, staff and students.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, working at heights, driving with a valid license, and willingness to work overtime or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance to perform essential functions.
• Maintain licenses and certifications as applicable.
• Lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights.
• Willingness to work off shifts, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist all trades and maintenance staff on work assignments.
• Perform general building maintenance in all the trades.
• Provide quality customer service to faculty, staff, students and campus visitors.
• Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
• Lead the activities of student staff.
