Job summary

Meijer in Kentucky is hiring entry-level Courtesy Team Members to support store operations and customer service. You will gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to services, interact with customers, and learn our standards for above-and-beyond service.

Starting pay is $13.25 per hour, with scheduling flexibility and opportunities for education assistance, and a path for advancement through development programs.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside to store interior.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment when needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, entrances, lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card/Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Hiring Immediately at no less than $13.25/hour. Starting rate is based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Required Scheduling Availability: Days are flexible, but you must be available on our 3 busiest sales days (F, S, S) and you must be available between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
