Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking entry-level team members to support daily retail operations in our stores. As a cart attendant, you’ll help keep carts available, assist with parking lot duties, and collaborate with service desks and various departments to ensure a clean, welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
